The first rain of the season arrived in the Haifa area on Sunday morning 4 Tishrei. Two millimeters of rainfall were recorded in the Carmel area communities with over four millimeters reported in the Western Galil region.
Police called on motorists to exercise caution as the roadways become very slick with the first rain following months of dry weather and the buildup of dirt on the roadways, leaving an oily film on the roads.
Temperatures are continuing to drop on Monday 5 Tishrei, especially in southern areas. Isolated drizzle and showers were reported in areas in the north and center during the morning hours.
