Arab MK Hanin Zoabi, who participated in the Marvi Marmara flotilla and equated Israeli soldiers with Nazis is in the news again. This time, the Israeli parliamentarian announced Israel is worse than ISIS. Needless to say her remarks were met with a harsh response from the Israeli political community.
The Balad party MK explained that while ISIS murders a single person with a knife, the IDF kills dozens by simply pressing a button, referring to the bombing of terrorist objectives in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge. Zoabi made her latest comments on Channel 2 News.
She continued, explaining the soldier who pushes the button in a plane is no better than one who beheads another with his knife. She mentioned “Those who take photos of the bodies, laughing at the Palestinian corpses”, stating they too are worse than the ISIS terrorist who beheads a single person.
Once again Zoabi is not alone, with party colleague MK Basel Ghattas echoing her comments, stating that while ISIS may be cruel it has never committed crimes against humanity as is the case with the IDF. Ghattas added that Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon admitted the IDF bombarded Shajaia without mercy to prevent the abduction of an IDF soldier. The Arab MK vowed this quote and others will be part of their case against Ya’alon in the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz called this a clear case of treason and sedition. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on his Facebook page referred to Balad as a terrorist organization, reminding followers that former Balad MK Azmi Bishara fled Israel to avoid prosecution for his terrorist activities. It has been documented that he passed classified information to Hizbullah.
