Israel: A Rainy Weekend Predicted Accompanied by Cooler Temperatures

rainThe weather service is predicting a wet and cooler weekend in Yerushalayim and elsewhere B”H. rainfall is expected to begin on Thursday afternoon/evening from the north and then spreading to the center of the county. Local thundershowers are expected as well.

The rainfall will hit the N. Negev area earlier, Thursday afternoon, as temperatures drop somewhat. Temperatures are expected to remain normal for autumn and not lower. The temperature in Yerushalayim and Tzfas is expected to be 18C (64F) and 24C (75F) in Tel Aviv.

On erev Shabbos the rain will be intermittent accompanied by local thundershowers. It will be slightly cooler than seasonable and there is a flood warning for southern area nachals and areas usually prone to flooding.

The rainfall is expected to continue during the day on Shabbos from the north to the N. Negev. Towards the end of Shabbos, the rainfall is expected to dissipate and turn to local isolated showers.

    In NY for a visit & it is cold…. still nicer weather in Israel. We need the rain.
