The New York State Police at Liberty are investigating a rollover bus crash on State Route 17 eastbound in the Town of Liberty near exit 98.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Coach USA bus with no passengers lost control and rolled over onto it’s side. The driver was ejected sustaining serious injuries and was removed to a local hospital in critical condition.
It appears that the accident was due to a combination of icy roads and speed unsafe for conditions.
The eastboand lanes were temporarily closed for approximately 1-hour while the bus was removed.
