Terrorist Dr. Jarar Abusisi was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment. He is known in the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) as the father of the Hamas rocket development program. It was Abusisi that succeeded in developing a longer rang Kassam rocket to fire into Israel.
Prosecutor Moran Gez told the press the sentence was fitting due to the seriousness of Abusisi’s crimes. Abusisi, who has been in ISA custody for a number of years, was sentenced on Tuesday, 27 Tammuz. He acquired his professional training while studying in the Ukraine.
Abusisi worked tirelessly under the command of Mohammed Deif to extend the range of Hamas rockets and with his success, more and more southern Israeli cities found themselves in range of Hamas rockets.
