An infiltrator from Gaza detected in the area of Zikim beach on Wednesday, 18 Elul, was shot in his legs by IDF soldiers who detected his movements. The infiltrator was taken into custody and soldiers began searching the area to determine if there were other infiltrators. The report does not state if the suspect was armed or not.

The infiltrator was transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon with a gunshot wound to his right leg.
