A masked Arab terrorist late Tuesday morning 7 Cheshvan approached a checkpoint near Negahot in the Southern Hebron Hills area. He continued towards the checkpoint, detected by a company commander who began approaching the terrorist. The terrorist tried to stab the officer, succeeding in scratching his hand. The terrorist was shot and killed.

In addition to the attack, there has been Arab rioting and violence in a number of areas during the morning including Hebron, el-Fuar (SE of Hebron) and areas between Hebron and Gush Etzion.
