Stabbing Attack at or Near the Eliyahu Crossing [UPDATED 2:11PM IL]

13:38: A person was founded critically injured from stab wounds inside a vehicle near the Eliyahu Crossing. The crossing is located on Route 55 between Karnei Shomron and Alfei Menashe.

13:45: According to a Hatzalah Yosh report, an Emanuel resident in his 40s was stabbed by a terrorist near Nbei Elias and made his way to the checkpoint for assistance. He was stabbed in his abdomen.

13:48: The victim, who is conscious, told authorities that an Arab stabbed him near Nbei Elias. B’chasdei Hashem he was able to make his way to the checkpoint. He will likely be transported to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

13:50: Magen David Adom reports the victim’s condition as moderate-to-serious.

13:53: Ichud Hatzalah’s Yochai Shalev, who heads the Shomron district, explains the driver was stabbed near Nbei Elias in his upper body and continued driving to the crossing. He is being treated at the scene by civilian and military medical personal and will be transported by MDA paramedics to Meir Hospital.

14:00: Zaka reports the victim stopped his vehicle on the side of the road and that is when the terrorist attacked him. MDA is now reporting the victim’s condition as serious.

14:11: A Defense Ministry spokesman released the following statement moments ago. “A resident of Emanuel arrived at the Eliyahu Crossing, driving slowly and erratically. Ports Authority agents saw him approaching and headed out to the vehicle. When he opened the car door he said ‘I was stabbed. Call an ambulance. I have been stabbed’. According to the statements from the victim in the preliminary investigation, he stopped to shop in Nbei Elias and was attacked at one of the booths by two terrorists who stabbed him in his abdomen and fled”.

The victim of the attack is reportedly a Breslov chossid. His name for tefilos is יוסף בן דייזי – לרפואה שלמה

    I also heard that the victim got out of his car to shop in Nebei Elias, which is against the IDF’s warning. Some foolish Jews stop in Arab business districts to shop because it saves a little money.

    BTW, Nebei Elias is so named by the Arabs because the Novi Elisha is buried there. The Arabs routinely claim what is ours.
