  1. Sounds like Russian trash. Were they vetted by the Obama administration before being allowed to come in & get on all the programs?

  2. # 3 they are not Russians. It’s not Russian names at all, so stop spreading the hate, besides they are Russian Mislims (Chechens ex.) as well.
Secondly, I agree sounds like people from former Yugoslavia, however I think they could be muslim since one last name starts with Husein, so probably muslims from Bosnia, they are wild people, but thatx to USA & UN they have a country of their own.
If they are muslims, why not hate crime charges?

  3. alexfromny:

Hate charges are pressed when there is a clear indication that the victim was targeted due to their race, religion, nationality, etc. Usually this means that the criminal said something indicating his motives during the attack or has a personal history of hateful speech or deeds. Just because a person is Muslim doesn’t automatically make it a hate crime – this particular Muslim just might have a criminal mind. If a person is Yugoslavian, Russian, Czech, Polish, German, French, Italian, Irish, etc. it doesn’t let them off the hook for hate crimes either. As history bares witness, Muslims are not the only ones who have perpetrated hate crimes against the Jews.

It is interesting to note how you asked #3 to “stop spreading the hate” against Russians, but you then go on to say that the Muslims from Bosnia are wild people and then state that this must have be a hate crime. Whether I agree with you about the Muslims from Bosnia or not is irrelevant – but we must be aware that statements like this also spreads hate.

We should not have to see any more violence!

  4. They probably work in the local Jewish supermarket. I have no idea why our Jewish business are hiring so many of these Muslim Antisemites. I have a family of 4 Muslims all working in a local Jewish supermarket, and I can see and hear how they curse Jews in there language which is similar to the one that I had to run away from !!
    STOP HIRING THESE ANIMALS…

  5. Hey Obama and Comrade DeBlasio, What this country needs is more Moslems to make our lives even more difficult. Keep ’em coming, it makes America great!

  6. I think it’s impressive that the police found these two thugs considering how fuzzy the video image of their faces is.

I hope they’ll be able to identify the more violent one of the two for harsher punishment (the second guy to jump in seemed more focused on emptying the victim’s pockets than kicking or pummeling him).

  7. Why are these comments so ignorant? A hate crime is a crime targeted towards a certain population. They were just two pieces of shit doing disgusting things.

Also the racist and hateful comments are unnecessary. Doesn’t make u guys any better than these assholes

    The end

  8. And it’s upsetting that the comments have to be reviewed by the site and all these hateful comments are being allowed. That’s why this world consists of so much hate.

  9. Dear Gilda it hurts you when people mention Russians in this article…you are saying how they are spreading hates but think about it,you are doing the samething…I’m Bosnian and I must tell you to visit my country and meet Bosnians…they are such nice and friendly people…and for your information this two boys are not from Bosnia…enjoy your day and love people…

  10. To #24: with language like yours, you call yourself a lady?

As for letting hateful comments through, YWN certainly missed yours.

  11. I don’t know them both personally but I know of them, and we have of up until the suspects were arrested, had, mutual friends. The one on the right is Albanian and of Muslim faith, the one on the left is Yugoslavian, but, I am not aware of whether he is of Muslim faith or not. Regardless of religious beliefs this was a horrible crime. People are seeming to forget that whether or not both the suspects were Muslim and the man they attacked just happened to be of Jewish faith, does not mean this was an act of terrorism or a violent response in the act of the first amendment which gives us freedom to religious expression, nor was this an act to show support in the name of Isis or Osama Binlanden. This was an act of rebellious teenage behavior due to a lack of maturity and self esteem, and that is what people are forgetting. Majority of the community is more outraged at the fact that the two boys may possibly come from Muslim faith rather than the fact the actual man himself got attacked and seriously injured. Whether the suspects were of another religion other than Islam, or the victim was of another religion other than Judaism, it does not make this situation any better or any worse. The suspects were in an act of rebellion and self-righteousness, using this poor man of his earnings, and making themselves feel like “real men” which what they don’t realize, is that in reality, it only shows them as cowards, and insignificant imbeciles who had nothing better to do but to rob and hurt an innocent old man. This has nothing to do with the fact that they are possibly Muslim and the man attacked was Jewish. If you actually take the time to read and analyze the Quran, as I have been doing in my global classes at my local high school, Islam is not a religion of violence and terrorism. I am not personally of Muslim faith, I grew up in a strictly Jewish environment, but I can proudly say that not all Muslims are these horrible people who bomb schools and attack innocent people. Don’t forget, hitler killed many innocent people, especially Jews, but Adolf hitler himself was of Jewish faith, not Muslim, yet we all know not all Jewish people are murders and are in control of a dictatorship government, so how come people cannot accept that not all Muslims are bombing terrorists? The suspects deserve the punishment heading their way, they should be ashamed of there actions, but not all Muslim people should be blamed for this act of immaturity and violence.

  12. Who cares what religion they are and who cares what religion the victim is. I will be the first one to create an attack on people who look to start something between Faiths. Criminals walk in all colors races and faiths.
Those kids don’t understand the consequences of their actions and they are definitely American born children of Yugoslavian.immigrants.
They did more harm and damage to themselves and their families than they did to that man. He will recover and a few days but their lives will be forever changed
