Monsey Fire Leaves Family of 6 in Ruins

monsey[COMMUNICATED CONTENT]

A raging fire has consumed the home and life of a hard-working and honorable family, as reported on Yeshiva World News.

Hopefully, a fire of Chesed and Ahavas Yisroel will help them get back on their feet!

While the family is extremely grateful that the damage was material only, they have no way of getting back on their feet without the help of wonderful Yidden everywhere.

Yidden all over will surely help, opening their hearts and wallets to rehabilitate the lives of a wonderful family who has lost their home, their security and their belongings in a terrible fire.

We hope you will extend a helping hand and contribute to the recovery of a wonderful Yiddishe Mishpacha who has nowhere else to turn.

Rabbinical endorsements and/or reference available upon request.

  1. Please post endorsements and I will donate nicely. There have been too many (real looking) fake campaigns running lately.

  2. Chochom. The fire was real, I was there and saw it burn. I also watch, witness and donate to these campaigns and they mostly seem legit

  3. Let this be the wake up call once & for all:- We all require to have adequate life assurance, adequate fire insurance, adequate health insurance etc.

  4. aaronflo, I just asked they post an endorsement. It shouldn’t be that difficult.

I used to always donate blindly to these campaigns until recently. But then there was a big campaign which was very suspicious, and they still brought in a lot of money.

no one is saying the fire isnt real thats most of the time the only truth in these camppaigns
need to know that the persons or people collecting for this are real
    too many scams and fakes
and its a shame because they kill it for the real needy people

  6. It’s already been almost a week since this post first appeared here as “communicated content”. They don’t seem to be getting the amount if donations this type of campaign should be getting.

Why not just post some rabbinical endorsements? Donations would at least triple!

  7. R’ Chochom if You’re skeptical about these collections, how would an endorsement relieve your concern? Those רשעים looking to take advantage of these unfortunate situations, surely could forge any endorsement you would like. You do your part (donate) and Hashem does the rest (if it’s to happen, your donation will reach the right hands)

  8. 147: Renters usually don’t have insurance as it isn’t required. And the required fire insurance doesn’t necessarily cover contents (since the bank requiring the insurance isn’t worried about your sefarim, only what is mortgaged)

Editors: “Family in ruins” implies casulties, not property damage. Bad wording of the heading (which I suspect was by YWN editors not the source of the “communicated content”)

  9. Family in ruins in no way insinuates casualties.
When a person says he’s ruined, it means financially. Elementary English.
