A new large, wide luxurious library was inaugurated last week with the assistance of the women who frequent the Kosel in the present of Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita and Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita.

The new library, with its golden-framed carved in stone is at the rear of the Kosel Plaza and it contained eight columns in which one can find new siddurim of various minhagim for the benefit of the public.

The initiative is from the Kotel Heritage Foundation and made possible by a generous donation from the Kochav family of Mexico in honor of their mothers, Mrs. Yocheved Kochav and their aunt, Mrs. Jacqueline Lichtenstein. It is designed to facilitate finding a siddur for until not, one was often compelled to enter the little room on the right in search of a siddur.

The new library is accessible and protected against rain and sun by doors that close with a simple push as well as easily opened. The library is accessible to women seeking siddurim and Tehillim as well.
