Minister Regev Promises To Lead The Battle For Clemency For Azariya

idfThe reading of the verdict in the manslaughter trial of IDF Sgt. Elor Azariya took over 2.5 hours on Wednesday morning 6 Teves. During that reading it was quite clear the court was heading to guilty plea. It was during the televised sentencing hearing (voice/no camera) that Miri was interviewed by Channel 2 News and already announced she will lead the battle to have Elor pardoned. Calls for a pardon were also heard from Transportation Minister (Likud) Yisrael Katz.

On the other side of the political spectrum, Arab MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi praised the court and questioned why other soldiers who “Shot and killed innocent Palestinians” are not tried and sentenced as should be the case.

Surprising many, MK (Machane Tzioni) Shelly Yacimovich explained the court acted professionally in its decision and she feels a pardon should be considered now that he was been found guilty.

  1. Though I do not like the verdict against Sgt. Elor Azariya, I would make sure an even justice is administrate to all—namely if Sgt. Elor Azariya is harshly sentence, so be it, if a terrorist is convicted of murders then a sentence of death is appropriate with the added provision that his remains be covered in pig’s juice prior to burial.

B’vah’chah’shah, suggest all Jews read more Talmud
Torah and try to live according to its laws.
