Expect traffic delays of presidential proportions throughout Manhattan on Tuesday.
President Barack Obama will be in town from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, reportedly making stops at the American Museum of Natural History and at the United Nations for a building dedication before headlining a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Harlem, where attendees have paid $30,800-a-plate to dine at chef Marcus Samuelson’s Red Rooster restaurant.
While the White House and DNC did not provide details of the presidential visit, there undoubtedly will be gridlock throughout Manhattan. The NYPD, however, assured that any road closures caused by Obama’s motorcade will be temporary.
Here are some hotspots to watch out for:
— FDR Drive.
— First Avenue and side streets around East 45th Street.
— Block surrounding Lenox Avenue and 125th Street.

No. 1: Because our president is the commander in cheap.
This reminds me of the Purim edition of CBS’ “Face the Nation.” On Purim Sunday I thought I heard the announcer say that it is hosted by Bob Cheaper, their cheap Washington correspondent (cheaper than overpaid Katie Couric) who was interviewing the chairman of the joint cheaps of staff.
