The Ministerial Legislative Committee on Sunday, 3 Adar 5772, rejected a request from Meretz MK Zahava Gal-On to operate public busing on Shabbos. This decision was unanimous among committee members.
The vote comes on the tails of a Tel Aviv City Council decision supporting public bus service in the city on Shabbos, a move that will most likely be overruled by the Ministry of Transportation.
