The Knesset Finance Committee approved the annual budget for the office of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is in the midst of a number of criminal trials against him. The annual budget was lowered from 538,000 NIS to 522,000 NIS.
In line with the law, a former prime minister is entitled to such funding for five years after stepping down, but the annual budget must be approved anew each year.
