PHOTOS: Har Hebron: Large Illegal School Discovered On Archaeological Area Monday Morning

(PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

A large school building was discovered on an archaeological area in the Hebron Hills on Monday morning, 3 Nissan. Inspectors of the Har Hebron Council discovered the building that was constructed by area Arabs, a permanent building intended for use as a school, which was constructed without any permits.

The structure is not far from the Har Hebron Council building, in an area ‘C’ under Oslo, which means under exclusive Israeli civil and security control. On the roof of the structure there is the symbol of the PA, which in recent years, has been working in strong cooperation in the area with the EU, with the latter paying for many structures on areas ‘C’ illegally.

The buildings are erected with the knowledge eviction will follow, using these photos to turn world opinion against Israel. The High Court of Justice issued a stop work order on in 2017 after Regavim filed a petition, but construction continued, preferring to ignore the legalities involved in building the structure.

On Sunday, 2 Nissan, Sussia residents arrived and established an outpost of their own opposite the illegal Arab structure. Regavim continues to monitor the PA and EU lands grab efforts in that area and others throughout Yehuda and Shomron. In the interim, amid High Court orders to remove Beit Dreinoff in Beit El and Amona at Ofra, Regavim demands the removal of the illegal PA structures. They explain there cannot be different law for Jews and Arabs, demanding the Civil Administration act expeditiously to remove this latest PA/EU land grab effort.
