PM Netanyahu Invited to the White House

(Sunday, March 21st, 2010)

Only a few short hours before his scheduled departure for Washington to address an AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu received an official invitation to the White House, signaling a resumption of relations following the Ramat Shlomo diplomatic row. It would appear the prime minister’s concessions to the White House did the trick, ending the diplomatic fallout, as was reported earlier Sunday by YWN-Israel. At present, it appears the prime minister will be meeting with President Barak Obama on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, White House Mideast envoy George Mitchell delivered the invitation personally.

Preliminary scheduling changes may including cancelling a planned visit to Belgium, where he was expecting to meet with senior leaders, in exchange for meeting with policy makers on Capitol Hill.

Bibi, there’s a word that you must never forget when dealing with Obama: “No” (in our holy tongue “לא“)!

  2. charliehall says:

What concessions? Netanyahu said today, “Building in Jerusalem is the same as building in Tel Aviv.”

  3. Chushuva yid says:

Tell him to enjoy himself. Not many people get an official invitation to the White house. Not that anybody want’s to nowadays!

Bibi tell Obama to stop Obamacare let’s see if he will listen to you. The same way you can’t tell Obama what to do he can’t tell you. BUILD BIBI BUILD!!!!!!!!!

    20vz,

Why would Bibi tell Obama to stop health care reform? Israel has had universal health care for quite a while! Bibi may just congratulate him for coming to see things the way Israel does :) .

  6. hereorthere says:

Yeah Israel has “universal” heath “care” and look how poor the people are.
That is our future if we are mazeldik enough, not to have it much worse, even.

  7. Voice of Sanity says:

#6: they happen to be a far more prosperous nation than ours, per capita. Even with a ton of chareidi non-working families living off the public dole. So be careful what you wish for

Maybe the strategy is that it is better for America to kill arabs in Iraq and Afghanistan while seeming to be mad at Israel. Otherwise, everyone would be more vocal about claiming it is to do the bidding of the Jews, which it is not.

Its quite interesting that Hillarious Clinton would speak so harshly, but after Netanyahu left the White House, they were friendly even though Israel said they are going to continue with the construction.
