Gedolei Yisrael Shlita signed a letter dated Tuesday, 2 Adar 5777, decrying the insults directed at a member of Shas� Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael, HaGaon HaRav Shimon Ba�adani.

President of the Council Hagaon HaRav Shalom Cohen Shlita wrote �I was sorrowed to hear of the contempt of a talmid chacham, a member of the council, HaGaon HaRav Ba�adani Shlita�.

�It is already said anyone humiliating a talmid chacham has no cure for his illness� adds Rav Cohen in his letter of protest that is also signed by HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita.

No mention is made of the �insult� that led to the letter of support for Rav Ba�adani, but it is believed connected to a radio interview with Kol Berama Radio, that interview came a day after Rabbi Ba�adani denounced the radio, adding he no longer supports it. During the radio interview the rav was humiliated somewhat when questioned as to what station he listens to.
