Report: Talmidim Of Rabbi Berland Seeking To Be Hospitalized To Be Near HIm

Some talmidim of Rabbi Eliezer Berland feel if they can get themselves hospitalized in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, they will have access to their rav, who is being treated there as a prisoner.

According to a MyNet report, he was moved to a surgical unit, where his difficult illness is being treated. Rabbi Berland remains under arrest and a prisoner during treatment so some followers feel if they too are patients, they will be able to see their rebbe.

Hospital officials are quoted saying dozens of talmidim have come in the hope of visiting with him. It is added 15 chassidim arrived in the hospital shul on erev Shabbos with mattresses and they spent Shabbos.

However, the rav is isolated, reportedly for his own good, and the chassidim will not be permitted to see him as there is a constant police presence to prevent outside contact.

  1. Why do the hospital security staff even allow these so-called “talmidim” on the hospital grounds to be near this guy who is in prison for abusing women? Berland has been engaged in an ongoing circus for years to evade prosecution while simultaneously making a chilul hashem by showing up in foreign courtrooms wearing tallis/teffilin and appearing to be senile to avoid extradition back to EY. If these Berland followers seek to be hospitalized, than perhaps the security forces should provide them a legitimate reason for seeking medical assistance.

  2. The critics don’t know the real story.
The Rabbi should be free from the “prison-like” treatment.
Hashem has rachmunos, but not the critics. The Rabbi is very unwell.
The Rabbi should have a refuach shelema!
