Brother of Slain Policeman Calls Deal “Contemptible”

(Wednesday, July 16th, 2008)

Yoram Shachar, a brother of slain policeman Eliyahu Shachar, one of the victims of Samir Kuntar’s 1979 terror attack, called today’s prisoner exchange deal “contemptible”.

Yoram stated, “I share in the pain and grief of the Regev and Goldwasser families, and I believe that sometime in the future, they too will understand why this deal is contemptible and why it should not have been approved. This is a most painful day for the Shachar family. Our pain has once again returned.”  (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
