VIDEO: Obama Tears Up In Video As He Thanks Campaign Staff Following Re-Election

A video of President Barack Obama released by his campaign on Thursday shows him wiping away tears the day after his re-election as he thanks young members of his campaign staff and volunteers for their hard work.

“I am absolutely confident that all of you are going to do just amazing things in your lives,” Obama tells staff members at his Chicago headquarters on Wednesday following his victory over Republican Mitt Romney.

Obama says the campaign team is “so much better than I was” at meeting goals and in effectiveness than he had been as a young community organizer in Chicago.

Becoming emotional, Obama says his work in running for office has come “full circle.”

“Because what you guys have done means that the work I’m doing is important. And I’m really proud of that. I’m really proud of all of you,” Obama says, wiping away tears.

The workers respond with loud applause.

Obama also became emotional in his final rally on Monday night in Iowa, as his voice broke and he wiped tears from his eyes as he reflected on those who had helped his campaign.

  1. The sane ones left in this country, those who understand you can’t continue to tax the business owners, those who understand that more people working means more wage earners which in turn means more revenue to the govt, those of us who believe in the US Constitution and the laws as they were written, we are crying even more.

  2. He only cries when it comes to himself and his power.
Most of us will be crying when they raise taxes or when Obamacare charges you a “tax” if you can’t afford Health Insurance. Oh & btw, most middle class Americans won’t be able to afford Health Insurance (it’s going up) and won’t be eligible for Medicaid. And medical care will be more like Europe & Canada -socialized. Forget about having the best medical care anymore.

  3. Humility abour things one has reason to be humble is good.

If he realizes that the splits in Congress and the popular vote are really a mandate to compromise, he might even go down as a great president (if stonewalls the next two years, and the Republicans do likewise, they’ll go down as the fools who destroyed the republic).
