As part of a police operation cracking down on drivers speaking on the phone without a hands-free device, a truck driver was pulled over by traffic police on Route 2 in Israel on Monday, 4 Nissan.

As police ran a check, they were surprised to learn the driver has no license. The truck was taken off the road and the driver promptly placed in custody. The driver�s license expired in 2015 and the truck�s registration expired in 2016.

It was an all-around difficult day for the 31-year-old resident of the Israeli Arab Municipality of Kafr Kassam, who told police he was unaware of the expiration of his and the vehicle�s license.

A supervisor impounded the truck for 30 days. The driver will soon be appearing before a traffic court judge.
