Temperatures could take a nosedive in the tristate region.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Passaic, and parts of Bergen, Essex and Warren counties in New Jersey early Saturday.
Freeze warnings were issued as early as Friday morning for several counties in New York.
Forecasters say temperatures could range from the mid 20s in northwestern New Jersey to the upper 20s and lower 30s elsewhere over the weekend.
A freeze watch is in effect for Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic and southeast Burlington counties. Temperatures are expected to be around 30 Saturday morning.
