Laborers working on the border fence between southern Israel and Gaza were targeted by gunfire and mortar shells on Thursday, the IDF confirms.

Soldiers returned fire and a shootout took place for a period of times. IDF officials also confirm that a mortar shell struck a tank, damaging it. B�chasdei Hashem there were no reports of injuries or loss of life.
