An El Al flight heading from Tel Aviv to Ukraine turned back to Tel Aviv about one-hour into the flight yesterday.

The pilot made the decision to return home after experiencing difficulty with the plane�s radar system. El Al officials reported the malfunction was repaired but nonetheless, the flight was detained to permit a more thorough inspection of the aircraft.
