Tax Authority inspectors operated in Yerushalayim last week going after money changers. After checking many of the licensed money changer stores in that area, authorities learned that 89% were recording transactions in compliance with the law.

One money changer apprehended moving checks in Meah Shearim offered an original explanation when caught changing a 2,000 NIS check. He explained to tax inspectors �I am only doing business for a few months and I haven�t yet learned the laws and regulations governing money changers�.
