Urgent Letter from Rabbi Moshe Heinemann, shlita, to the Baltimore Community

2014031113945656956163Dear Community Members,

In 1969, Esther Lebowitz, an 11 year old girl from our community was brutally murdered by Stephan Wayne Young. The perpetrator of this heinous crime was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

The Young conviction is now up for evaluation. The prosecutors in this case have made it known that it is vital to their case for there to be a strong community presence objecting to his release.

I will be attending this hearing to show my support for justice for the memory of Esther Lebowitz and to keep her murderer off of our streets; I strongly urge everyone who is able to attend.

The case will be heard on Thursday, March 20, at 2:00 pm at 111 N. Calvert St. (Old Post Office, across from the regular Court House) room 227.

We, as a community, owe it to Esther Lebowitz, H’yd, and her family to keep her murderer behind bars.

Rabbi Moshe Heinemann
