IDF Uncovers a Tunnel from Gaza to Israel

idfA large tunnel from Gaza towards Israel was uncovered by the IDF. While Hamas released a statement that the tunnel was old and not in use, senior unnamed IDF commanders are quoted saying this is not so, explaining generators, tools and other items were found signaling the tunnel is active and finding it prevented future terror attacks. Officials add that the size of the tunnel signals it may also have been intended for use to abduct soldiers and civilians towards negotiating the additional release of terrorist imprisoned in Israel.

Last October the IDF uncovered a terror tunnel in southern Gaza heading towards Kibbutz Ein Shlosha in Israel. That lead to the discovery of a network, the largest found to date. The tunnel was eventually sealed with the use of explosives by the IDF.

  1. What’s so exciting about finding a tunnel when the terrorists behind it are let loose? Sorry #1 but there’s nothing to be proud of with the IDF for this. If anything, the IDF is making themselves into fools with this empty tunnel find.
