Antisemitic hate in the United States has reached a new peak, with 2024 marking the highest number of reported incidents ever recorded, according to a disturbing new report from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The watchdog documented 9,354 cases of harassment, vandalism, and assault — a 5% rise from the previous year’s record, and the most since the organization began tracking in 1979.
That staggering figure translates to more than one antisemitic incident every hour, every day. New York and California led in reported cases, but all 50 states saw incidents.
Most troubling is the surge in physical assaults, up 21% to 196 incidents targeting at least 250 individuals — nearly a third of them Orthodox Jews. Vandalism spiked 39%, and bomb threats against Jewish institutions numbered 647.
The ADL’s report links much of the escalation to the fallout from Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel. Over half of all reported incidents — 5,452 — were tied to anti-Israel or anti-Zionist activity, with many taking place at rallies where antisemitic chants, slogans, and imagery were present. Groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine and the Party for Socialism and Liberation played central roles in organizing these events.
“This is a five-alarm fire,” warned ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. “American Jews are being targeted daily. This cannot be normalized.”

The ADL fund raises off of combating anti semitisim so its in their interest to present the prevalence of anti semitisim in the highest and most alarming way that it can. For example according to the article over half of all reported incidents took place or were within the context of pro Palestinian protests last year. What went on on those rallies are not a reflection of a rise in anti semitic incidents in the general population and around the country which is what the try to make it sound like, that Jews are much more likely to be subjected to anti semitic actions than they were even in the recent past, which in turn is a reason for people to donate to them so they can somehow combat this.
In general the ADL has been presenting figures presenting anti semitisim to seem much worse than it is most famously with their annual poll of countries in which they ask people questions to assess whether they hold anti semitic views. However instead of asking them straight up whether they like or dislike Jews, and to what degree, they ask whether Jews have more influence in the business or financial world than there proportion of the population, something that is clearly the case. So when people confirm they believe this to be true this means they hold anti semitic views, according to the ADL.
So the numbers produced by the ADL always claiming that anti semitism is terrible and getting worse are for the sake of fund raising, not for the purpose of accurately reporting on the facts.
ADL is in the business of making millions. Their business is anti semitism. It’s always going up in their fake statistics. Fifty years ago there was real antisemitism. Today streets are way safer especially in Jewish neighborhoods. To the ADL they want funding for their do nothing bareheaded mechalel shabbos leaders. They eat treif and are lefty Obama supporters.
And yet 47 just eliminated the antisemitism envoy in the DOD.
