A group of Chareidi extremists opposed to the draft bill for yeshiva students staged a disturbing protest inside the Ashdod apartment building of Shas MK Yinon Azoulay.

Video from the scene shows the group crowding the hallway outside Azoulay’s home, shouting and pounding on his door. A neighbor confronted the demonstrators, urging them to leave and go downstairs, but they ignored her and escalated their behavior, breaking into chants of “traitor.” The neighbor can be heard telling them she had called the police.

The incident comes amid growing intimidation efforts by fringe elements within the community who are furious at Shas and United Torah Judaism lawmakers for cooperating in the advancement of legislation to regulate the draft framework for yeshiva students.
