Israel’s Defense Ministry has signed a multi-billion-dollar deal with Rafael to expand serial production of the short-range Iron Dome, with Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram finalizing the agreement after extensive negotiations.
Rafael will supply a substantial number of interceptors to the military, funded through the $8.7 billion U.S. aid package approved in April 2024, which earmarked $5.2 billion for strengthening Israel’s air defenses.
