“Seditious Behavior!”: Trump Demands Death Penalty for Democratic Lawmakers Who Urged Troops to Reject Illegal Orders

President Donald Trump on Thursday accused six Democratic lawmakers of “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” after they released a video reminding U.S. military and intelligence personnel that they must refuse unlawful orders.

The lawmakers — Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO), Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), and Maggie Goodlander (D-NH) — are all veterans of the armed forces or the intelligence community. Their video warned that today’s threats to the Constitution “aren’t just coming from abroad,” claiming the current administration is pressuring the military to act against American citizens.

“You can refuse illegal orders,” they said repeatedly. “You must refuse illegal orders. We have your back.”

Within hours, Trump unleashed a series of Truth Social posts accusing them of treason. “Each one of these traitors should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL,” he wrote. “Their words cannot be allowed to stand — We won’t have a Country anymore!!!”

Trump then reposted messages attacking the lawmakers, including one calling for them to be hanged, before adding his own statement: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

Civilian and military legal experts note that members of the U.S. military are required to refuse unlawful commands under the Uniform Code of Military Justice — the very rule the Democrats were citing.

  1. This article is fake news

It gives the impression that trump is way off base when the opposite is true

Everyone knows that the military may and must refuse illegal orders but what the dems are implying here is that the military is being given illegal orders and they are not

The lawmakers video does nit provide any example of them receiving illegal orders because there were none.,
What the lawmakers are trying to do is have the military undermine the president that if they feel or believe that an order may be illegal to refuse it based on that feeling alone, even if that feeling has nothing to do with the order being actually illegal but because they are libs with a twisted way of thinking.
