Hamas is warning that the fragile cease-fire in Gaza is “over” after the IDF eliminated one of the terror group’s highest-ranking weapons suppliers, Alaa Hadidi, during a strike Saturday.
The threat was delivered directly to U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who have been mediating cease-fire efforts in the region. Hamas said it is “ready to fight,” Saudi state-owned outlet Al Arabiya reported, a message later cited by the Jerusalem Post.
The group claims the IDF strike violated the U.S.-backed truce. Israel insists the hit was a justified response after a Hamas operative crossed into a designated humanitarian relief zone and opened fire on Israeli forces. The IDF released video of the incident, showing a gunman dressed in black exiting a vehicle using the humanitarian route before firing a long-range weapon. Israeli troops shot and killed him seconds later.
Five Hamas operatives were eliminated in three separate strikes Saturday in Rafah and Northern Gaza, the IDF said. Among them was another senior commander, Abu Abdullah Al-Hudaydi, reportedly a key figure in Hamas’s military operations.
The White House is backing the Israeli strikes, according to the Times of Israel, citing U.S. officials who say Hamas leadership has failed to control its operatives on the ground.
