“A Disturbing Reality”: Nearly 40% of Jewish Students Hide Their Identity on Campus as Antisemitism Surges

Antisemitism has become “systemic and tolerated” on American college campuses, according to a blistering new report that found 39% of Jewish students have hidden their identities and 62% have been directly blamed for Israel’s actions in Gaza.

The 2025 campus “report cards,” issued by civil rights watchdog StopAntisemitism, paint a grim picture of Jewish student life at 90 colleges nationwide. Fourteen schools — including Columbia University and The New School — received failing grades for “pervasive antisemitism” and administrative indifference.

“This report exposes a disturbing and undeniable reality,” said StopAntisemitism founder Liora Rez. “Antisemitism on American college campuses is systemic and tolerated — and in many cases enabled — by the very institutions tasked with protecting our American kids.”

According to the survey, 58% of Jewish students said they have personally experienced antisemitism, while only 12% reported their schools properly addressed incidents. Another 65% said they feel unwelcome in specific campus spaces, and 58% said administrators have failed to protect them.

Columbia, which became the epicenter of anti-Israel encampments after Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre, was slammed for vandalism, hate-filled emails, disruptions glorifying extremist violence, and what federal investigators called “deliberate indifference.” The New School received similar criticism.

Other elite universities — including Harvard, Brown, Penn, Yale, MIT, Northwestern, and UC Berkeley — also failed. Rez said these campuses have become “ground zero for antisemitism in American higher education.”

The report did cite improvement at Cornell (upgraded from an F to a C) and Vassar (D to B), praising administrators for taking more active steps to protect Jewish students. Only 15 schools earned an A, including Baylor, Clemson, Elon, and Colorado State University.

Overall, just 62% of Jewish students said they would recommend their schools to other Jews.

Rez urged college leaders nationwide to follow the example of A-rated schools: “They set clear standards, enforce them consistently and fairly, and make it known that antisemitism is not tolerated on their campus.”

  1. How do they define Jewish. Note that most American Jews have always tried to act like goyim and want nothing more than to pass as goyim. It is basically only the Orthodox (all flavors of frumkeit) and a handful of non-frum Jews who can be identified as Jews. If only 40% of those are worried about anti-Semitism its not much of a hiddush. If the assimilated Jews who dress and act like goyim, and often participate in anti-Israel demonstrations, are suddenly feeling a need to conceal their Jewish ancestry for fear of anti-Semitism, it is something radical.

  2. They’re stupid for continuing to go to those Nazi universities that only teach liberal trash. Become a mechanic or something you don’t need to sit through political science to make money anymore
