Demonstrators affiliated with the Peleg Yerushalmi began protesting Monday afternoon on Route 4 near Bnei Brak, as part of a renewed wave of demonstrations announced earlier in the day over the continued arrest of yeshiva students. Within a short time, the highway was blocked to traffic in both directions, prompting police to declare the protest illegal.
As a direct result of the demonstration, light rail service in Petach Tikva was suspended. In a statement, officials said: “Due to a protest near the Shenkar Station in Petach Tikva, the light rail will operate in a shortened format. Line R2 will run between Kiryat Aryeh Station in Petach Tikva and Komemiyut Station in Bat Yam, in both directions.”
Israel Police reported that Route 4 was closed between the Aluf Sadeh Interchange and the Em HaMoshavos Interchange. Traffic heading south from Em HaMoshavos was diverted toward Petach Tikva. Officers from the Dan District and the National Traffic Police were deployed to the scene, directing traffic and guiding drivers to alternate routes.

Earlier Monday, the Peleg Yerushalmi announced the renewal of protests across the country, following directives from Hagaon HaRav Ezriel Auerbach, in response to the continued arrest of yeshiva bochurim. Protest locations were not publicized in advance, and police prepared for possible road blockages and traffic disruptions.

Police emphasized that the right to protest will be respected as long as demonstrations remain within the bounds of the law, but stressed that road blockages, interference with freedom of movement, or any behavior endangering public safety will not be tolerated.
During the protest, United Hatzalah medical teams treated a pedestrian — a 15-year-old boy — who sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Route 4 near the Givat Shmuel Interchange. Medics at the scene reported that he was injured during the demonstration and suffered bruising to his limbs.

traitors and cowards.
not enough that these animals don’t contribute to the Israeli economy, they prevent others to travel to work and ambulances to save lives.
I continue to be disgusted and embarrassed by this behavior. I can understand the desire to protest. The heter to harm others with their rage is morally bankrupt, and deserving of everyone’s shunning. I cannot respect any of this. Find corners to protest. That voice, even if I disagree with the position, should be heard. These damaging actions do not succeed in changing anything.
Then they want the Haredim to join the army to protect these “Judeo-Nazis” (Professor Yeshayahu Leibowitz) and the corrupt Israel Supreme Court and the wicked Attorney General. All this Hellenist, BE”H, should meet their fate shortly
Can anyone please answer this question for me; Is this what HKBH wants these bochurim and these young kids to be doing?…. to be rioting in the streets, blocking traffic and agonizing the police and putting themselves in a real matzav of סכנה? I am as in much tzaar as anyone who really cares about the horrific and dire situation that bnei Torah find themselves in today in EY… but I still ask the question, is this what HKBH really wants our young boys to be doing?
I would think that not. I would say that yeshivas across EY calling for extra hasmadah and calling for davening with extra kavana and asking the bnei hayeshiva to focus in other areas of bein odom lachaveiro would do a lot more than any of this because at the end of the day the RSO runs the world and the buck stops with Him! I just find it hard to believe that this is the way HKBH wants the next generation of bnei torah and bnei aliyah to behave.
These Chayos cause so much anti semitism.
Time for these batlonim to get jobs. They make us all look bad.
Time to defend the stipends to these schools.
