The Syrian Army announced a new �military operation� in the Kurdish-majority neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh in Aleppo, northern Syria.

Heavy clashes are currently reported between Syrian government forces and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
