An attempt to smuggle ten pistols into Israel from Jordan using a drone was thwarted overnight, according to the IDF.

The military said surveillance troops detected the drone as it crossed the border, and soldiers from the Yoav Regional Brigade subsequently brought it down.

The drone was carrying ten handguns, which were recovered and transferred to police custody, the IDF added.
