🚨 NYC has suspended alternate side parking for the rest of the month to facilitate ongoing snow operations, the Department of Transportation announced Tuesday. Alternate side parking rules will remain on hold through Sunday, Feb. 1, marking seven consecutive days of suspension. Parking meter regulations remain in effect citywide.
For perspective, during the historic winter of 1978 — which saw three major snowstorms — alternate side parking was suspended for a record 62 straight days.
