A 13-year-old Jewish boy was brutally attacked overnight in Paris while walking to shul in a serious antisemitic assault.

The attacker punched and kicked the boy, threatened him with a knife, and shouted antisemitic slurs. The boy suffered injuries to his head and neck, and his yarmulke and phone were stolen.

French authorities have opened an investigation. The suspect has not yet been arrested.
