•⁠ ⁠Snow and rain this morning will transition to steadier snowfall by midday across NYC and New Jersey as colder air moves in.

•⁠ ⁠Conditions are expected to rapidly worsen later today, with heavier snow bands developing and snowfall rates reaching 1–2 inches per hour.

•⁠ ⁠Damaging coastal wind gusts of 50–60 mph may lead to whiteout visibility and scattered power outages from downed trees and lines.

•⁠ ⁠Snowfall projections: 12–18 inches across much of the region, localized 18–24 inches from the Jersey Shore to Long Island.
