“Totty, can we have a Purim seudah at home this year?”
Though Mommy’s gone, Totty was able to answer yes — thanks to you and Yedid.
On Taanis Esther, Yedid by Misaskim delivered complete, customized Purim seudos to 791 families who’ve lost a parent, transforming them from perpetual guests into proud hosts again.
Without the means, mood, or motivation to prepare proper Yom Tov seudos, these families spend Yom Tov after Yom Tov as guests — painful reminders of who’s missing in their lives.
This Purim, they were able to host in their own homes. With their own families. On their own terms.
Weeks ago, each family received an elegant invitation with menu choices: Lubavitch shechita? Sephardic menu? Gluten-free? Nut-free? At Yedid, everything is personal, because that’s what real caring looks like.
As one almanah shared, “The plentiful, delicious food took a great deal of pressure off me and filled my heart with joy and my eyes with tears. Purim is extremely difficult for my family… Your generous gift made it easier for us all.”
