6 Injured, 1 Seriously, In Iranian Cluster Bomb Attack on Central Israel

Six people were seriously injured in an Iranian missile barrage on central Israel early Sunday afternoon.

According to rescue services, the barrage resulted in over a dozen impact sites, making it likely that the missile was a cluster bomb.

A man was seriously injured by interceptor shrapnel in Tel Aviv, and five people were injured in Petach Tikvah, one moderately and the others lightly.

The man injured in Tel Aviv suffered from a neck injury and was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital.

A missile fragment fell in the Kiryat Herzog neighborhood of Bnei Brak, damaging parked cars and toppling iron fences. Baruch Hashem, no one was injured, and there was no damage to infrastructure or buildings.

The Fire and Rescue Services reported that there appears to be a building collapse at one of the locations as a result of shrapnel damage. MDA forces are operating at the sites and continuing searches and treatment of the injured.

The police reported that police officers and sappers are currently working to isolate the impact sites.

The IDF reported that Home Front Command search and rescue forces, in combination with emergency organizations, are currently operating at impact sites in the center of the country.
