Leaked audio obtained by The Telegraph claims Mojtaba Khamenei narrowly escaped death during the U.S.�Israeli strikes on February 28 that reportedly killed his father, Ali Khamenei.

According to the recording, Mazaher Hosseini, head of protocol in Khamenei�s office, told clerics and commanders of the IRGC that Mojtaba stepped outside the residence moments before missiles struck multiple buildings in the compound. He reportedly survived with a minor leg injury.
