French police thwarted a suspected bombing outside a Bank of America building in Paris, detaining one suspect while another fled.

•⁠ ⁠Authorities have opened a terrorism investigation, including attempted damage by fire or explosives, possession and transport of such devices, and involvement in a terrorist criminal network.

•⁠ ⁠Police intervened after spotting two suspects near the site, with one attempting to ignite a device while the second escaped.

•⁠ ⁠Interior Minister said the rapid response prevented a terrorist act, adding security remains at a very high level, especially around sites linked to U.S. interests and the Jewish community.
