Newly released pictures reportedly show the aftermath of last week’s Iranian attack on the South Korean cargo ship HMM NAMU in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel was reportedly hit by two “flying objects” launched by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, believed to have been drones rather than cruise missiles.
The attack reportedly caused significant damage, including a strike on the rear ballast tank, a large breach in the stern, and a fire in the engine room. The ship was attacked while sailing in UAE waters and was later towed to a repair yard in Dubai. Twenty-four crew members were aboard, including six South Koreans.
