The FBI has begun interviewing current and former CIA officials as part of a Justice Department investigation into former CIA Director John Brennan over the 2017 intelligence assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 election, Reuters reports.

•� � Investigators are examining Brennan’s role in producing the assessment and whether its conclusions were influenced by claims from the Steele dossier.

•� � Prosecutors are also reviewing whether Brennan made false statements to Congress in 2023 regarding the CIA’s involvement with the Steele dossier.
