DRAMATIC REPORT: Trump Team Divided Over Iran as President Opts to Extend Talks

A heated White House confrontation reportedly erupted earlier today over Iran, with Vice President JD Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner pushing for a preliminary agreement, while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio argued Iran would only make concessions under significantly tougher pressure and possible military action, according to a report in Israel Hayom.

The debate reportedly intensified after President Trump accused Vance and the envoys of allowing Iran to drag out the process. Vance pushed back, arguing the U.S. should end the conflict, bring troops home, lower oil prices, and shift focus back to domestic priorities.

Trump also spoke with regional leaders, with Prime Minister Netanyahu and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed reportedly backing a harder line on Iran, while Saudi Arabia and Qatar favored avoiding renewed escalation. Despite the internal divisions, Trump ultimately decided today to give negotiations with Iran another chance.
