An Alcatraz City Cruises ferry slammed into a dock near San Francisco’s Pier 31 while attempting to dock Sunday evening, sending passengers scrambling and sparking panic onboard.

Passengers described a loud bang and chaotic scenes as people were thrown around the vessel. The company called it a “docking incident” and said no injuries were reported, though an investigation is underway.
