Roman Gofman Assumes Role as New Mossad Chief Following Barnea’s Departure


Roman Gofman has officially succeeded David Barnea as head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, becoming the organization’s 14th director. His appointment leaves vacant the position of military secretary to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a role Gofman previously held. Netanyahu has not yet named a replacement, though an announcement is expected in the coming days.
