CBS REPORT: Trump Administration Ordered No US Assistance In Intercepting Iranian Missiles Fired At Israel

The Trump administration reportedly instructed U.S. forces not to participate in defensive operations against Iranian missiles launched at Israel, according to a report by CBS News citing a senior American official.

The report comes amid intense efforts by President Donald Trump to halt the latest round of fighting between Israel and Iran. Earlier in the day, Trump publicly called on both sides to immediately cease fire following Iran’s missile attack on Israel and Israel’s subsequent retaliatory strikes inside Iran.

According to the American official, Washington directed its military not to take part in efforts to intercept the Iranian missiles, marking a significant departure from previous confrontations in which U.S. forces assisted Israel’s air defense efforts.

The report also comes as Israeli media outlets indicated that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agreed to temporarily suspend plans for additional strikes in Iran following a request from Trump.

At the same time, Israeli officials emphasized that operations against Hezbollah will continue. Jerusalem has warned that if attacks on northern Israeli communities persist, the IDF will respond forcefully both in southern Lebanon and in Beirut’s Dahieh district.

  1. And guess what, Mr. President? Israel managed just fine without US assistance. I think this should counter the argument that Trump makes often that if not for him (Trump) there would be no Israel…
